It’s that time of year again to sign up for the Geography Bee and/or the Spelling Bee. These 2 Bees are set up just for homeschoolers. This is a wonderful opportunity for 4th-8th graders to work on those geography skills and spelling skills and perhaps win a prize! From here your student will compete with students from all over the state of New Mexico. How exciting!!

STUDY MATERIALS At http://www.nationalgeographic.com/geobee you can find a study corner where you may sign up for daily quizzes, sample questions and many hints as to how and what to study
TO REGISTER Call 292-3156 or email erc.gbc@gmail.com – leave your student’s name, grade, email address and phone number
Here are sample questions you may be asked:
Which state has a climate suitable for growing citrus fruit? California or Maine (California)
Which Canadian Province produces more than half of the country’s manufactured goods? (Ontario)
What is the term for a part of an ocean or sea that cuts far into the bordering land mass and may contain one or more bays? (Gulf)
