Animal Humane New Mexico offers a free helpline (505-938-7900).

You can speak to a trained coach who can help you solve pet behavior problems.
This is a completely free service and it’s wonderful that they offer it.
It might even prevent some pets from having to go to shelters when their human is driven to the end of their tether - so pass the word along!

The Animal Humane Behavior free helpline helps with pet issues including separation anxiety, destructive behaviors, escaping, barking, chasing, digging, fearful behavior, housetraining,
introducing a new pet to the household where there are already pets, and puppy and kitten development.

You can reach the Behavior Helpline by emailing behaviorhelpline@animalhumanenm.org or calling 505.938.7900. If you do not reach a behavior coach, please leave a message, and your call will be returned in 24-48 hours.  Visit our Recommended Reading section for helpful behavior tips and useful pet information.
