Albuquerque Homeschool Forum / Homeschool chat / Valentine's Day at the Park

I just realized that we had been talking about having a V-day party on the member board, but that it hadn't been mentioned here. Sorry about that! So if you are planning to come to the park this Thursday (Loma del Norte at 1:00), we are planning to have a little party. Have your child/children create their own bag/container to receive Valentines, then bring valentines to share (maybe 30 or so). If you are so inclined, please bring a snack to share also. Hope to see you there on Valentine's day, around 1:00!

Hi Kim, I've been a forum member in the past but my only activity is hosting a small valentine party each year (my children's request!). I see that there is already one planned so if that particular time and place doesn't work please contact me about meeting at Colombus Park (south of Montano on Guadalupe) Thursday 4:30pm. Plan to bring a box or bag (my kids decorate small boxes) and about 10 valentines (I'll update that # when people call). We'll have heart cookies, veggie tray, simple games and crafts. My email is karalanc@gmail.com and my # is 970 261-7450. I only have 3 children left at home now (20 year of homeschooling!!) two girls 13 and almost 11 and a very friendly 9 year old boy.

Hi Kara,
Thanks for the info! Love that your girls want to keep that tradition alive! I will direct people to you if the 1:00 time at Loma del Norte doesn't work for them. Happy Valentine's day!
